A local government authority in Sutton seeks a part-time administrator to provide business support for the Community Safety Team. The role includes managing meeting agendas, taking minutes, and handling team communications. Ideal candidates should have experience in administrative roles, particularly within a local government environment, and possess excellent communication and computer skills. The position offers flexible hours over three days a week in a hybrid working model.
The role is a standalone, part-time (18 hours per week) administration role, providing business support functions to the Community Safety Team and wider community safety partnership. The position holder will coordinate a wide range of operational and strategic partnership meetings on behalf of the team.
The hours of this role will be spread across three days within our core hours. Monday-Wednesday or Tuesday-Thursday 10-4.
You will be experienced in providing administrative support to a team; experience of working in a local government or partnership service setting would be advantageous.
You will need excellent minute taking skills for a variety of strategic and operational meetings.
Excellent computer skills and communication skills.
Use of Google systems (desirable).
Sutton's Community Safety Team is a small team based in Sutton Police Station one day a week and hybrid working on other days. The team is part of the Integrated Support & Safer Communities service within Sutton Children's Services - People Directorate. The team works closely with the Metropolitan Police and a range of partners and organisations to improve safety for residents and visitors within the London Borough of Sutton.
