Job summary

Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Community Rehabilitation Assistant in Weymouth. The post supports therapy in patients’ homes or in hospital, requiring flexible, weekend-inclusive rota and driver duties.

Experience in rehabilitation or caring roles is preferred; NVQ level 2/3 is advantageous with good IT skills and teamwork. Right to work in the UK is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• NVQ care level 2/3 or willing to work towards.
• Skills to manage challenging situations.
• Good organisational skills/decision making.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehab based care to people in their own home or on the ward, including personal care tasks such as washing and dressing.
• Complete supervised assessments of mobility, equipment and function.
• Monitor deteriorating patients with support from clinicians.
• Work with other Rehab Assistants to provide the service across 7 days.
