The Rhondda Community Mental Health Teams seek a forward thinking Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse to join our established MDT in Pontypridd. You will manage your own caseload and provide holistic care with a user-focused approach.

We value collaboration with local partners and offer opportunities for training and development within a supportive team in CTM, NHS Wales. Welsh language ability is desirable but not mandatory.

  • Experience delivering holistic care in a community mental health setting.
  • Ability to manage a clinical caseload with comprehensive assessment and treatment.
  • Welsh language ability is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Manage own caseload of patients within the Community Mental Health Team.
  • Provide comprehensive assessment, care and treatment in line with service protocols.
  • Work effectively within the MDT and with Local Authority and third sector partners.

The Rhondda Community Mental Health Teams have 1 vacancy for a forward thinking and compassionate band 6 CPN.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to become part of a strong, well-established MDT with a clear service user focus and close working partnerships with other health professionals and the local authority.

The post holder will manage their own case load of patients, have excellent communication skills, possess a positive attitude to working with people with complex Mental health needs, whilst working effectively within the MDT.

The Rhondda Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT) is based at Porth Plaza on Pontypridd Road, in Porth.

The teams are supportive and inclusive, and opportunities for training and development are promoted within the role.

To deliver evidence based holistic care to clients within the context of a multi-disciplinary, multi-agency community mental health service.

To hold a clinical caseload providing comprehensive assessment, care and treatment to clients referred to the Community Mental Health Team in accordance with Part 2 of the Mental Health (Wales) Measure 2010

Promote a positive working culture, working collaboratively with service users ensuring that their views and ideas are heard and equal.

Foster robust, open and positive working relationships with all partners in particular Local Authority and other mental health services and the 3rd sector, ensuring that all partners are treated with dignity and respect

Proactively contribute to the continuing improvement and development of community mental health services, within an environment that welcomes new ideas and listens to everyone.

The post holder will be guided by broad occupational policies and will frequently work as a lone worker.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
