Job summary

Cwm Taf Morgannwg (CTM) University Health Board is seeking a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse to deliver evidence-based holistic care within a multi-disciplinary Community Mental Health Team in Wales. You will manage your own caseload, conduct comprehensive assessments, and coordinate treatment with partners across health and social care to ensure patient-centred plans.

Essentially, you will have current registration as a Mental Health Nurse and evidence of post-registration specialist

Qualifications

• Registered Mental Health Nurse with current registration.
• Evidence of post-registration specialist training and CPD activity.
• Welsh language skills (desirable at Level 3+).

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based holistic care within a multi-disciplinary Community Mental Health Team.

Job description

To deliver evidence based holistic care to clients within the context of a multi-disciplinary, multi-agency community mental health service. To hold a clinical caseload providing comprehensive assessment, care and treatment to clients referred to the Community Mental Health Team in accordance with Part 2 of the Mental Health (Wales) Measure 2010 Promote a positive working culture, working collaboratively with service users ensuring that their views and ideas are heard and equal Foster robust, open and positive working relationships with all partners in particular Local Authority and other mental health services and the 3rd sector, ensuring that all partners are treated with dignity and respect Proactively contribute to the continuing improvement and development of community mental health services, within an environment that welcomes new ideas and listens to everyone Be guided by broad occupational policies.

This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. Whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isnt fluency, just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means being able to communicate in Welsh during routine clinical situations, such as welcoming patients, discussing straightforward aspects of their care and answering routine questions. • Previous community experience, Sound working knowledge of the legal and policy framework underpinning mental health service provision e.g. Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, National Service Frameworks, mental health Measure., Evidence of achievement in clinical practice within the area of speciality e.g. adult mental health, older person's mental health., Welsh Language Skills
• Welsh language Speaking and Listening Skills at a Level 3 or above
• Previous community experience Cynon CMHT have a vacancy for a forward thinking and compassionate band 6 CPN. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidates to become part of a strong, well-established MDT with a clear service user focus and close working partnerships with other health professionals and the local authority. The post holder will manage their own case load of patients, the post holder will have excellent communication skills, positive attitude to working with people with complex Mental health needs, whilst working effectively within the MDT.
