Job summary

Lancaster City Council is seeking a Community Projects Officer to oversee the Holiday Activities and Food Programme, working with partners to safeguard and deliver high-quality services for children and families in Lancaster.

You will manage contracts, monitor outcomes, design communications, and engage stakeholders, reflecting the council's values of Working Together, Ambition, Pride and Ownership.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating community programmes and funding.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with partners and stakeholders across organisations.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day running of the Holiday Activities and Food Programme.
• Serve as main contact for Lancaster City Council and liaise with delivery partners.
• Handle contract administration, monitor performance, and conduct QA checks.
• Lead safeguarding efforts and design communications to raise awareness.
• Identify development opportunities and support community engagement initiatives.
