Job summary

Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking two Band 7 Community Perinatal Team Managers to lead specialist Perinatal Mental Health Teams. You will support women and families during pregnancy and up to two years after birth, providing strategic and clinical leadership across Birmingham and Solihull.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible leadership to a multidisciplinary Perinatal Mental Health Team, delivering safe, high-quality care during pregnancy and up to two years postnatally.
• Oversee team performance, workforce planning, governance, quality improvement, safeguarding, risk management and staff development.
• Collaborate with maternity services, primary care, health visiting, social care and other partners to ensure joined-up care.
• Lead and support a diverse team, promoting a positive culture of learning, supervision, staff wellbeing and continuous improvement.
• Manage workforce planning, recruitment, appraisal, attendance and performance processes, ensuring effective use of resources.
• Contribute to clinical governance, service development, audits and implementation of national and local priorities.
