Job summary

Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is inviting applications for a Specialist Clinical/Counselling Psychologist (Band 7/8a) within the Community Perinatal Mental Health Service in Birmingham. This 12-month fixed-term post is part-time (32 hours per week) and offers the opportunity to deliver specialist psychological assessment and therapy in the community setting.

Qualifications

• Doctoral level training in clinical psychology or equivalent with HCPC registration.
• Close to completion of a DClinPsy or similar qualification if not yet qualified.
• Desirable experience in perinatal or infant mental health.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist psychological assessment and therapy in the community perinatal team.
• Offer supervision, advice and consultation to colleagues and carers.
• Contribute to service development, audits and research.
• Supervise psychology trainees or assistants in the community setting.
• Be an MDT member, attend meetings and provide psychological care guidance.
