The postholder will champion personalised care and support teams through coaching, governance and professional development, liaising with the matrons and wider leadership to sustain improvements in pathways

Responsibilities

• Provide effective clinical, professional and operational leadership to the community midwifery team.
• Effectively manage staff to deliver safe standards of care.
• Promote safe, compassionate, personalised and evidence-based maternity care.
• Support staff through coaching, supervision, development and performance management.
• Maintain a safe clinical environment and high standards of governance and practice.
• Support the implementation of national and local maternity safety initiatives.
• Collaborate across maternity services and with partners to improve pathways and outcomes.
