Job summary

Dyfed-Powys Police is recruiting Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) to join our neighbourhood policing team. Successful applicants may be considered for vacancies in 2027/2028 in Powys, Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion, with a focus on building relationships, solving problems and supporting communities.

Training and vetting will be provided. This bilingual organisation offers opportunities to work across diverse communities and participate in safeguarding and crime prevention initiatives,

Qualifications

• Must have full manual driving licence (to pass Police Driving Test during probation)

Responsibilities

• Help communities build and thrive through neighbourhood policing and community engagement.
• Build links with businesses, residents, community leaders and partner agencies.
• Maintain visibility through high-visibility patrols and respond to incidents such as anti-social behaviour, disputes and missing person inquiries.
• Take a problem-solving approach with partners to resolve long-term community issues.
• Support victims of crime with crime prevention advice and contribute to investigations by collecting CCTV evidence and assisting with house-to-house enquiries.
