Job summary

NELFT North East London Foundation Trust is recruiting a Consultant Paediatrician for the Barking and Dagenham Community Team, based at 79 Axe Street, Barking, IG11 7LZ. The post involves 10 Programmed Activities (PAs) with 7.5 Direct Clinical Contact (DCC) and 2.5 Supporting Professional Activities (SPAs).

The successful candidate will join a large multidisciplinary community paediatric team across the Trust, delivering care to babies, children and young people and liaising with acute trusts

Qualifications

• Provide medical input to the multidisciplinary team and coordinate care for children.
• Be part of a large community paediatric team across North East London Foundation Trust.

Responsibilities

• Support the team and follow Trust values in day‑to‑day work.
• Be on a daytime on-call rota 9am–5pm for child protection medical examinations.
• Liaise with other multidisciplinary team members and external health providers.
