Job summary

NELFT NHS Foundation Trust invites a Consultant Paediatrician to join the BHR Neurodevelopmental service in Romford. The post is 10 PAs, full-time, substantive, with flexible working and an emphasis on leadership and teaching within a large community paediatrics team.

You will assess, manage and deliver evidence-based care, supervise juniors, contribute to service development, MDT collaboration, and support EHC planning as required.

Qualifications

• GMC registration and medical degree required.
• Experience in paediatrics and neurodevelopmental services preferred.
• Leadership and teaching responsibilities within a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Organise and prioritise own and others’ workload in day-to-day allocation of work.
• Deputise in the team manager’s absence and delegate appropriately to medical staff.
• Provide assessments, management plans and recordings for audit and risk management.
• Support development of Neurodevelopmental services and supervise MDT colleagues.
• Contribute to EHC plans and collaboration across health and social care.
