Job summary

NELFT NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Specialty Doctor in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to join the Waltham Forest CAMHS team. The post covers a 10 PA substantive, full-time role with a mix of direct clinical contact and SPAs, based at Wood Street Health Centre in Walthamstow.

The post holder will participate in MDT work, contribute to neurodevelopmental and emotional/behavioural pathways, and engage in service development, teaching and quality-improvement activities within CAMHS

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration and licence to practise.
• Active current registration with the General Medical Council.
• Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team and local Trust guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Organise and prioritise own and team workload in day-to-day tasks.
• Deputise for the team manager when required and delegate to medical staff.
• Adhere to Trust protocols and maintain accurate records for audit purposes.
• Ensure effective risk management and contribute to the Trust risk register.
• Provide clinical input into assessment, formulation, diagnosis and treatment planning for CAMHS cases.
