Job summary

Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for Kincardine Community Hospital in Stonehaven. The post is Band 6, 18 hours per week, and involves assessment, treatment and discharge planning for community hospital patients, with follow-up in the community as needed.

The role requires strong communication, caseload management, supervision of OT support staff and student training, with opportunities for service development.

Qualifications

• Experience in caseload management in a busy hospital setting.
• Experience of working with a wide variety of conditions and complex needs.
• Supervision and training of students and OT support staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide OT assessment, treatment, and discharge planning for community hospital patients.
• Follow patients up in the community for rehab and enablement after discharge.
• Supervise OT support workers and train students, supporting service development.
• Work across 7 days as required, including weekends/public holidays to meet service needs.
