Affinity Water Community Operations Planner - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Affinity Water has a fantastic opportunity to work alongside the Community Operations team as a Community Operations Planner on a 12-month fixed term contract.

The Role:

As a Community Operations Planner, you will plan M&R activity across all regions, minimizing disruption to customers and the network. You will coordinate both planned and reactive activities to optimize efficiency in terms of time, cost, and productivity of field-based teams.

You will ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations such as Street Works Legislation, C-MEX, and leakage, while meeting or exceeding team standards and objectives. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Create schedules considering internal priorities, KPIs, and ODIs.
  2. Focus on customer experience through continuous improvement initiatives.
  3. Promote a safety, health, and environmental culture within the team.
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with Community Operations suppliers and contractors.
  5. Ensure adherence to statutory/regulatory obligations such as Street Works, Leakage, and C-MEX.
  6. Work within deadlines to meet service level agreements, reviewing work to remove obstacles.
Requirements:
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Understanding of the costs associated with community operational activities and strategies to minimize unnecessary expenses.
  • Knowledge of 'Job Management' systems (FLS, Maximo, GIS) with decision-making capabilities to resolve operational disruptions.
  • Understanding of Noticing/Permit requirements for work in the public highway.
  • Knowledge of reinstatement materials and Traffic Management legislation to guide teams working in public areas.
  • Hours of work: Initially Monday – Friday, 07:30 – 16:00 during probation. Post-probation, hours may vary between Monday – Sunday, 06:30 – 18:00, to be discussed during the interview.
