Job summary

NHS Scotland is recruiting a Team Lead for Community Nursing to provide clinical leadership and operational day-to-day management for the district nursing team serving Mull, Colonsay, Tiree and Coll.

The post holder will shape professional and strategic leadership, drive new models of care within the integrated service, and support delivery of high-quality patient-centred care. Flexible working patterns will be considered, with base location negotiable.

Qualifications

  • First level Registered General Nurse with a specialist District nursing qualification.
  • Ability to provide professional and strategic leadership and drive service development.
  • Knowledge of NHSH policies and care pathway design are essential.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to take up the post of Team Lead for Community Nursing on the beautiful Inner Hebrides of Mull, Colonsay, Tiree and Coll to provide Clinical Leadership and Operational day to day management for the district nursing team.

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual with the ability to provide professional and strategic leadership. The post holder will influence and drive forward Community Nursing to provide best possible patient centred outcomes. The post holder should be self-motivated, have an in-depth knowledge of Community Nursing, criteria, processes and NHSH policies. They will also have the ability to support the design and delivery of new models and pathways of care within the integrated team/ services and influence quality and a high standard of patient care.

This is a demanding, specialised role, requiring high levels of professional skills to work efficiently and effectively

The post-holder will work flexibly in terms of location to develop and support other areas of team working within the Community Nursing service.

Flexible working pattern will be considered and base is negotiable. Consideration will be given to the right candidate being mainland based,

The post holder will be a first level Registered General Nurse and will hold a relevant specialist District nursing qualification.
