Job summary

The post offers a preceptorship for newly qualified nursing associates and extensive orientation with support from senior practitioners. Training and development are provided to achieve competencies.

Qualifications

• Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in health care.
• Experience in the community and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience handling sensitive information with patients and relatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, safe and effective care in a range of settings.
• Assess patients and refer to a Registered Nurse for reassessment when needed.
• Monitor health needs with patients, families and carers.
• Record care clearly and promptly, with signed and dated documentation.
• Communicate with colleagues clearly (verbal, digital or written).
• Communicate with patients, offering care-related advice.
• Identify situations or errors that could affect care outcomes.
• Support discharge planning and transfers safely and timely.
