Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic, highly motivated senior Midwife who possesses excellent management, communication, and organisational skills. You will need to be able to manage, lead, and motivate a multidisciplinary team whilst demonstrating high levels of professionalism at all times, acting as an exemplary role model with enhanced levels of clinical care.

You will be innovative, enthusiastic, and emotionally resilient, committed to supporting change in a complex environment to provide care for women and their families.

We are looking to recruit a Band 7 clinically credible midwife with a broad range of midwifery experience. (Although this role is at 20 hours as a Band 7, we can also consider other hours alongside this role as a Band 6.) You will utilise your excellent clinical skills to support community teams in delivering high-quality care and be open to embracing positive change and transformation to meet the needs of women in the local population.

The post holder will play a key part in the development and transformation of the Maternity Service in line with the recommendations set out in Better Births. You need to be self-motivated, dynamic, enthusiastic, and an effective communicator. A passion for community midwifery and a drive for ongoing learning and development are essential.

The post holder is responsible for supporting and coordinating a multi-professional team within the community, providing an interconnected, supportive network across the maternity service and wider Trust.
