Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust in the Dudley area is recruiting enthusiastic midwives to provide continuity of antenatal and postnatal care in the community. The role includes on-call cover for homebirth and involvement in developing continuity of carer pathways under the Better Births agenda.

The post holder will assess care needs, implement care plans and support student midwives and junior staff, with a view to progression. The Trust values innovation, flexibility, and patient-centred care.

Qualifications

• Registered midwife with NMC registration.
• Experience in community maternity care or antenatal/postnatal services preferred.
• Ability to work in community settings and provide on-call cover for homebirth.

Responsabilités

• Assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate care plans.
• Mentor, lead and supervise student midwives and support staff.
• Take a lead/link role for the unit/department as agreed at appraisal.
