Job summary

County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Community Midwife to join the South East Durham community midwifery team based at Ferryhill Health Clinic.

You will provide autonomous, woman-centred maternity care with antenatal and postnatal continuity, while collaborating with families and the multi-disciplinary team. A bespoke induction and ongoing professional development will support your transition and progression within the Trust.

Qualifications

• Registered midwife with UK Registration and NMC PIN.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development.
• Trained NIPE Practitioner.
• PMA Qualification and Teaching/Assessing qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide maternity care across community midwifery with antenatal and postnatal continuity.
• Plan diary around caseload, prioritising women and families at the centre of care.
• Support development of home birth services within the team.
• Work in partnership with multi-disciplinary colleagues to deliver personalised care.
