Job summary

Venture-People is recruiting for community-based carers to support individuals in their own homes across the Brighton area. You will work with a supportive team, following detailed plans, and access to clinical guidance and training to help clients achieve independence.

We seek compassionate individuals capable of adapting to diverse needs, comfortable with risk management, and dedicated to promoting recovery-focused, trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

• Empathetic, patient and passionate about supporting people with mental health needs.
• Confident engaging with individuals with neurodiversity or complex backgrounds.
• Has experience (or is keen to learn) therapeutic de-escalation and crisis-intervention techniques.

Responsibilities

• To facilitate the delivery of a service which follows a person-centred ethos and promotes independence.
• To complete dynamic risk assessments and support plans.
• Promote wellbeing and appropriately manage risk.
• Ensure adherence to company and national policies and procedures.
• To work flexibly as required by the service; this may require some working outside of your normal hours to provide consistent support.
• You will be supporting people in accommodations or their homes, facilitating safe discharges and avoiding admissions.
• Collaborative working with a team of professionals with a wide range of backgrounds.
• Maintain compliance with mandatory & additional training in place to enhance your professional development.
