Job summary

NHSGGC is seeking a Band 5 Community Psychiatric Nurse to join the East Renfrewshire CMHT. You will work within the Mental Health and Recovery Service, delivering specialist nursing care to adults with mental health needs as part of a supportive, established MDT.

The role includes independent caseload management, leadership of staff, and delivering person-centred care in collaboration with the MDT. Visa sponsorship may be considered; base location is Barrhead Health and Care Centre.

Qualifications

• Registered Mental Health Nurse qualification.
• Experience in assessing and managing individuals with complex mental health needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to provide leadership, supervision, and support to staff and students.
• Knowledge of person-centred care planning and evaluation.
• Ability to work effectively within a Multi-Disciplinary Team setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage an allocated caseload independently.
• Provide specialist nursing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
• Deliver person-centred care to clients with complex health and social care needs.
• Supervise and support registered and unregistered nursing staff, including students.
• Contribute to the delivery of high-quality mental health services within a multi-disciplinary environment.
• Provide leadership and support to regulated and unregulated professionals.
