Job summary

Rotherham Education Services (RES) is seeking a casual ESOL tutor to deliver ESOL to adults at various levels within our community learning and employability provision. The role includes coordinating activities across the academic year and providing excellent customer service to both internal and external clients.

The successful candidate will be well organised, able to manage their workload, and committed to helping students achieve funding targets and enrolment growth for the college.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching ESOL to adults, preferably in an educational environment.
• Experience teaching both employed and unemployed learners.
• Teaching qualification or working towards one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ESOL to adults at various levels across community learning and employability provisions.
• Coordinate activities across the academic year.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients with accuracy and organisation.
• Support the college in meeting funding requirements and increasing enrolments.

RES Community Lecturer - English as a Second Language (ESOL)

Location: Rotherham College, Rotherham (may be required to work at other college campuses as/when required)

Salary : £19.62 to £20.59 per hour plus Holiday pay (Rate dependant on if qualified)

Vacancy Type: Temporary until July 2027, 2 hours per week, Tuesdays 10:00-12:00

The Role

Rotherham Education Services (RES) supply casual and temporary staffing to the RNN Group. The RNN Group consists of Rotherham, Dearne Valley and North Notts colleges.

We are looking for a proactive and professional ESOL tutor who will be responsible for delivering at a variety of levels within our community learning and employability provision, in line with funding requirements. The successful candidate will support the coordination of a range of activities throughout the academic year.

You will be committed to providing an excellent customer service to both internal and external clients, whilst producing a high level of accuracy, excellent organisational skills and a flexible approach to work.

Through a proactive, enthusiastic and customer focused approach you will help the College achieve its mission to provide ESOL support for the future of our students and community, through outstanding teaching and learning. Your work will ultimately lead to increased enrolment numbers, highly accurate data, meeting funding requirements plus positive development of the College reputation.
