Job summary

Moray Council seeks a proactive leader to manage Locality Planning, Community Participation and Capacity Building, and Community Resilience. You will oversee Community Support Officers, the Community Council Liaison Officer and Adult & Family Learning teams.

Role requires CLD expertise, team leadership, and a track record in multi-agency collaboration, with flexibility for hybrid working and travelling across Moray.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of local government and CLD work.
• Proven substantial experience in Community Learning & Development.
• Knowledge of CLD legislation and participatory budgeting.
• Experience managing teams in community settings.
• Ability to plan, evaluate and ensure quality assurance of work.
• Strong IT skills and ability to work in a hybrid environment.
• Ability to engage with partners, stakeholders and communities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate initiation, development and delivery of service areas to increase community capacity and learning.
• Develop and maintain key processes and documentation for effective management.
• Monitor and evaluate performance to support continuous improvement.
• Lead the team delivering within the service area.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support partnership working.
