Job summary

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust in the Central Locality seeks a registered Nurse (Learning Disabilities) to join a busy Integrated Learning Disability Service covering Preston, Chorley and West Lancashire.

You will work in community services, supporting adults with learning disabilities, Autism, and complex health needs, with opportunities for flexible working and professional development.

Qualifications

• Registered learning disability nurse with knowledge of health policy and legislation relevant to LD/Autism.
• Adaptability, good communication skills and self-motivation are essential for complex health needs and challenging behaviour.
• Defined caseload with supervision of junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for a defined caseload and supervise junior staff.
• Provide holistic LD care in community settings and collaborate with families and carers.
