The Role
Duration: Full-time; Location: Remote (from UTC-5 to UTC+3)

The WalletConnect Foundation is looking for a Community Lead to drive engagement, advocacy, and growth among WCT holders. This role is central to fostering a vibrant, active, and passionate community that not only participates in governance but also evangelizes the WalletConnect mission. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in Web3 community-building, communications, and advocacy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Community Engagement & Advocacy: Develop and execute a community strategy to grow and engage the WCT token holder base, transforming members into active advocates of WalletConnect's vision.
• Communications & Content: Craft compelling communications, announcements, and educational materials that drive awareness and foster trust within the community.
• Initiatives & Campaigns: Design and implement campaigns, incentives, and community-driven initiatives that encourage participation and positive sentiment.
• Sentiment & Reputation Management: Monitor community sentiment, respond to concerns proactively, and develop strategies to maintain a positive and inclusive environment.
• Governance & Participation: Drive engagement in WalletConnect's governance processes, ensuring token holders are informed and empowered to participate effectively.
• Partnership & Collaboration: Work closely with ecosystem partners, influencers, and stakeholders to amplify WalletConnect's mission and impact.
• Analytics & Insights: Measure the success of community initiatives through KPIs, feedback loops, and analytics, iterating based on insights.
• Community Platforms Management: Oversee and optimize engagement across X, Telegram, Discord, and other relevant channels.

Requirements

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in Web3/Blockchain Communities: Prior experience in managing, growing, and activating token-based communities.
• Exceptional Communication Skills: Ability to craft compelling messages, articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and engage meaningfully with community members.
• Strategic & Hands-On: A balance of high-level strategic thinking and hands-on execution to drive measurable results.
• Passion for Decentralization & Crypto: Deep understanding of blockchain, governance, and the ethos of decentralized networks.
• Strong Relationship-Building: Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, from core contributors to ecosystem partners and influencers.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to use analytics and insights to inform community engagement strategies.

Bonus Points:

• Experience in DAO governance and decentralized communities.
• Previous experience working in a crypto-native organization or protocol.
• Familiarity with WalletConnect's ecosystem and use cases.
