Job summary

Riverside Community Health Project in Newcastle is seeking a Community Hub & Operations Lead to manage the Carnegie Building and ensure it remains a welcoming, safe, and well-run community hub for residents, staff, volunteers and visitors.

The role oversees reception and administration, coordinates room use and activities, supervises building staff, and supports health and safety, maintenance and systems.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating operations, administration or facilities.
• Experience supervising staff or volunteers.
• Experience in charity or community sector is helpful, not essential.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain calm in a busy building.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of the Carnegie Building to keep it safe, welcoming and well-run.
• Lead reception and administration, coordinate room use and activities.
• Supervise administration and building support staff; manage maintenance and health and safety.
• Support reporting, information gathering, planning, and policy review.
