Job summary

Torus Foundation is seeking a reliable, proactive Cleaner to join FireFit Youth & Community Hub on a part-time, fixed-term basis until June 2027. You will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for young people, community groups, visitors and staff.

The role covers day-to-day cleaning, facilities checks and assisting with health and safety compliance. Training and flexible hours are available to fit 22–23.34 hours per week, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning or caretaking roles preferred but not essential.
• Knowledge of COSHH health and safety regulations or willingness to learn.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties across the site, including sweeping, mopping and vacuuming.
• Maintain presentation, cleanliness and safety of FireFit Hub.
• Report defects or safety concerns and support health and safety compliance.
• Use cleaning products and equipment safely in line with COSHH regulations.
• Keep stock and records of cleaning materials and routine checks.
