Following appropriate training and competency assessment, your duties may include supporting personal care and activities of daily living; taking, monitoring and recording clinical observations; providing wound and catheter care and simple dressings; undertaking venepuncture; administering medication; supporting safe moving and handling; and fitting and demonstrating the safe use of equipment.
You will develop positive working relationships with patients, carers and families, recognise and promptly report any changes or concerns relating to a patient's condition, contribute to care planning and reviews, and communicate effectively with the wider multidisciplinary team. You will also maintain accurate, timely and contemporaneous records using EMIS Community, while promoting patient choice, confidentiality, infection prevention and consistently safe, compassionate care.
