Job summary

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time nursery nurse to join the West Berkshire health visiting team. The role involves working with families with children aged 0-5, delivering group and individual activities, and supporting safeguarding and breastfeeding initiatives.

You will be part of a supportive team with opportunities to develop your skills, and a car is required for travel across community settings.

Qualifications

• Good written and verbal communication is essential.
• NNEB or equivalent with an interest in public health is required.
• Reflective and innovative practitioner.
• Car driver with access to a car is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to families within community settings under the direction of the Health Visitor.
• Plan and deliver health-enhancing activities for children aged 0-5 and their families.
• Support families using the Solihull approach for behaviour management and parenting skills.
• Support breastfeeding and parent-infant relationships following UNICEF UK Baby Friendly standards.
• Be aware of local safeguarding policies and procedures.
