Job summary

NHS National Services Scotland is seeking a Healthcare Support Worker for Levenwick Health Centre/Community Nursing in Shetland. This is a substantive, full-time post (36 hours per week) with a Band 3 salary of £29,696-£31,409 per annum pro rata plus a Distant Islands Allowance of £2,578 pro rata.

You will work under the direction of Registered Nurses, supporting primary care and community nursing teams. Driving licence is essential; training in phlebotomy, ECG and observations can be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience as Health Care Support Worker or Social Care Worker preferred.
• Willingness to work autonomously and as part of a nursing team.

Responsibilities

• Support Registered Nurses and Practice Nurses in primary care and community settings.
• Provide care as part of the community nursing team across Shetland.
• Training in phlebotomy, ECG and observations can be provided as needed.
