Job summary

Levenwick Health Centre/Community Nursing is seeking an experienced Healthcare Support Worker to join a nursing team in Shetland. The role is full-time (36 hours per week) with Band 3 pay (£29,696–£31,409 p.a. pro rata) plus a Distant Islands Allowance (£2,578 p.a.

pro rata). You will assist Registered Nurses in primary care and community services across the Shetland health setting. Training for phlebotomy, ECG and basic observations can be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience as Health Care Support Worker or Social Care Worker.
• Full driving licence is essential.
• Willingness to work autonomously.
• Phlebotomy, ECG and basic observations advantageous but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Support Registered Nurses in primary care and community nursing.
• Deliver care to the population of Shetland in a primary care and community setting.
• Work across community nursing to support Practice Nurses.
