Hywel Dda University Health Board in Wales is seeking a passionate Registered Nurse to support public health initiatives, vaccines administration, and post-monitoring. As part of this role, you will perform clinical assessments and play a key role in vaccine administration, preparation and post monitoring. You will develop skills in venepuncture, cannulation, IV/IM treatments and screening.
You will work alongside a range of services, including Community Outreach, working with hard-to-reach service users. You will support specialist teams including blood borne virus, school nursing, primary care, public Health, local authority, Occupational Health, Infection prevention and control, midwifery and children’s services.
You will be at the forefront of health protection and immunisations, responding appropriately to outbreaks, testing and post exposure vaccinations. You will make a direct and lasting impact on the health and well-being of our Hywel Dda community. The role is predominantly community based, with the flexibility to support outbreaks in secondary care settings. Whether you are vaccinating/testing in homes, schools, GP clinics, community pop-up venues, you will be a valued member of the team.
This post is based in Aberaeron Integrated Care Centre with the expectation to travel health board wide when service requires.
