Job summary

Sunderland City Council is seeking an organised and enthusiastic individual to join the Public Health and Wellbeing team as Links for Life Assistant. The role supports community engagement, digital platform administration and monitoring, and coordination of public health training events across Sunderland.

You will work closely with residents, partners, and VCSE organisations to improve health and wellbeing outcomes and reduce inequalities.

Qualifications

• Experience providing administrative support and coordinating activities to deadlines and targets.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and digital systems.

Responsibilities

• Promoting Links for Life Sunderland with residents, partners and stakeholders through community events and networks.
• Supporting the management and monitoring of the Links for Life digital platform.
• Assisting with engagement activities, investment programmes and support for Sunderland's VCSE sector.
• Coordinating a programme of public health training events, workshops and engagement sessions, including promotion, bookings, venue arrangements and communications.
• Producing accurate reports, action logs, meeting records and other programme documentation.
• Providing administrative and organisational support to ensure effective delivery of programme activities.
