Job summary

The Felix Project seeks a Community Coordinator for Greater Manchester to grow and sustain the FareShare Go programme. You will build strong charity and retailer relationships, raise local awareness, and coordinate community activities across the region.

You will engage with diverse stakeholders, drive engagement metrics, and ensure high-quality service delivery while travelling across the UK as needed. A relevant degree or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Level 2/3 Food Safety training is desirable, but training will be provided.
• Experience with CRM software; Salesforce advantageous.
• Some experience in data analysis and project planning.
• Be degree educated or have a strong career history doing similar roles in any sector.
• Have some experience of training and managing others.
• Have exceptional relationship building skills with a range of stakeholders.
• Be a strong communicator who is able to engage with a variety of audiences.
• Be confident and assertive in handling difficult situations, whilst demonstrating calmness and professionalism.
• Self-manage your own performance and workload.
• Have initiative and innovative thinking, in order to shape new/different ways of working.
• Be organised, with a proven track record of achieving quality results.
• Have a proven ability to create links across teams to share best practices.
• Have strong IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Be flexible about your working arrangements as the role may involve high levels of travel to other areas of the UK.
• Have a valid driver's licence for the UK, access to your own car and undertake extensive travel across your region.

Responsibilities

• Welcome visits to new charities and ensure coverage KPIs are reached and maintained for new and existing retailers.
• Analyse charity needs and retailer profiles to maximise offers for charities.
• Help charities increase capacity and redistribute more surplus food.
• Identify stores for re-engagement to improve charity coverage and compliance.
• Maintain regular contact with regional retailers and handle issues professionally.
• Collaborate with FareShare network and regional centers to grow the community.
• Lead community events and networking activities with support from the Central Team.
• Perform other duties as required as part of your job description.
