Job summary

St Ives Town Council is seeking a practical Maintenance Officer to keep our town and surrounding villages clean, safe and well maintained. The role is varied, hands-on, outdoors and indoors, and requires a positive, flexible approach.

The successful candidate will perform duties including grounds maintenance, minor repairs, cleaning and safety checks, and will be expected to complete duties to a high standard. An enhanced DBS check will be required.

Qualifications

• DBS check is required and assessed against the Childcare Disqualification Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out grounds maintenance, minor repairs, cleaning and safety checks.
• Assist in keeping Council buildings and open spaces tidy and safe to use.
• Work indoors and outdoors with a practical, flexible approach.
