Job summary

HospiceCare North Northumberland is seeking a dynamic Community Engagement & Events Fundraiser to lead community relationships, plan and deliver fundraising events, and drive income growth for the HospiceCare community programme.

You will develop partnerships, lead a volunteer network, and work with the clinical team and staff to increase community involvement and donations across North Northumberland. Some evening/weekend work is required as events occur.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
• High degree of administration skills, e.g. maintaining databases and filing systems.
• Excellent knowledge of data protection regulations and experience of processing data.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Provide excellent stewardship to supporters.
• Strong ability to relate to groups and individuals and build relationships.
• Experience of community engagement activities and strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with individual and community supporters and fundraising volunteers; maximise income across community fundraising.
• Build and maintain excellent communication and relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
• Lead day-to-day management of the events programme and oversee Hospice-led events.
• Recruit and motivate local supporters and fundraising groups; provide resources and recognition.
• Seek out marketing opportunities to raise awareness of HospiceCare services.
• Monitor budgets, KPIs and event performance; report to senior leadership.
• Travel across the region to support events and fundraising activity.
