Job summary

Suffolk County Council, through the Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service, is seeking a Specialist Practitioner to join the Fire Prevention Team. You will deliver Home Fire Safety Visits, provide tailored fire safety advice, and work with partners to address safeguarding concerns across Suffolk.

Qualifications

GCSE English and Maths at grade C or equivalent.
Ability to identify risk and apply tailored solutions.
Confident communicator with diverse groups and accurate reporting of safety information.
Competent with IT systems including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

Deliver Home Fire Safety Visits to at-risk adults and families across Suffolk.
Collaborate with partner agencies on health, wellbeing and safeguarding concerns.
Attend events as a speaker or exhibitor to provide Home Fire Safety advice.
Deliver education on Road, Fire and Water safety to all age groups.
Manage resources including vehicles and safety/education equipment; record keeping.
Maintain accurate records and participate in team meetings; help improve policies.
