Job summary

NatCen International is seeking Field Interviewers to visit households across Scotland, conducting in-home interviews on issues affecting health, housing, transport and daily life. You will guide thoughtful conversations, record responses and help ensure diverse voices are heard in shaping policy.

You’ll start with structured training, shadowing experienced interviewers, and ongoing support. A valid UK driving licence, access to a car, and DBS check are required; you can work at least 20 hours

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence and sole use of a car.
• Class 1 Business insurance.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to complete a DBS check.
• Reliable home broadband.
• Confidence using basic technology.
• At least 20 hours available per week.

Responsibilities

• Visit people in your local area and carry out in-home interviews.
• Accurately record responses and note details of conversations.
• Travel across your assigned area; mileage allowance and paid travel time provided.
• Participate in regular check-ins and receive training and support before and after going out on your own.
