Job summary

Felbrigg Hall, near Norwich, is seeking a Community, Participation & Volunteering Co-ordinator to build partnerships and develop volunteer pathways. This part-time role (30 hours per week) is fixed-term until 01 September 2027, paying £22,089.60 pro rata (£27,612 FTE).

You’ll work with local communities, support volunteer managers, and help shape engagement across the Tamar Valley property group, with flexible working and a strong focus on safeguarding and inclusion.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of community engagement, participatory practice, and volunteer engagement, management, and innovation.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, including the ability to coach and support others and work collaboratively across teams.
  • A proactive, empathetic, and inclusive approach.
  • Confidence in using data and insight to guide decisions, with experience of improving and innovating processes and systems.
  • Self-motivation and confidence working independently, with the ability to take initiative and manage your own workload effectively.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, including safeguarding, GDPR, and equality.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills to deliver team priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Building strong, positive relationships with local communities, organisations and groups
  • Developing existing partnerships and co-create projects that deepen engagement and support the vision for the Tamar Valley property group
  • Working closely with volunteer managers, offering guidance and helping to grow volunteer pathways
  • Creating new opportunities for participation, ensuring they reflect community needs and interests and a changing volunteer landscape
  • Taking part in the Duty Management of our properties and sites where needed
