Job summary

National Trust is seeking a Community, Participation & Volunteering Co-ordinator at Felbrigg Hall, Norwich. This part-time role (30 hours/week) is a fixed-term contract until 01-Sep-2027 with a pro rata salary of £22,089.60 (FTE £27,612 per annum), offering diverse engagement with local communities and volunteer pathways.

Responsibilities include developing partnerships, guiding volunteer managers, and Duty Management where needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience in community engagement and volunteering contexts.
  • Ability to develop partnerships and co-create projects.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to use data and insights to guide decisions.
  • Proactive, inclusive approach and independent workload management.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and equality considerations.

Responsibilities

  • Building strong, positive relationships with local communities, organisations and groups
  • Developing existing partnerships and co-create projects that deepen engagement and support the vision for the Tamar Valley property group
  • Working closely with volunteer managers, offering guidance and helping to grow volunteer pathways
  • Creating new opportunities for participation, ensuring they reflect community needs and interests
  • Taking part in the Duty Management of our properties and sites where needed
