Job summary

Omexom in the United Kingdom is seeking a Community & Social Value Officer to lead the link between Omexom, local communities, project stakeholders, and the supply chain. The role focuses on delivering social value commitments and building lasting positive legacies on transmission and infrastructure projects.

You will organise community engagement, manage stakeholder relationships, monitor outcomes, and report progress using LOOP.

Qualifications

• Experience in a community engagement, stakeholder relations, social value, public affairs, or communications role.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Experience planning and delivering community events and engagement activities.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across project locations in Scotland.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for local communities, community councils, residents, businesses, schools, charities, and local authorities.
• Develop and implement Community Engagement Plans for transmission and infrastructure projects.
• Organise and attend community meetings, drop-in sessions, site visits, public exhibitions, and stakeholder consultations.
• Build positive relationships with key local stakeholders and community representatives.
• Proactively identify and address community concerns and work with project teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate records of engagement activities, enquiries, complaints, and actions taken.
• Deliver and monitor project Social Value Plans and commitments.
• Coordinate school visits, careers events, STEM activities, and employability programmes.
• Identify opportunities to support local charities, community groups, and voluntary organisations.
• Organise volunteering activities involving employees and supply chain partners.
• Track, measure, and report social value outcomes using LOOP.
