Job summary

Veolia Group in London is seeking a Social Value Officer to work with Local ECO Managers across Croydon, Kingston, Merton and Sutton. The role focuses on developing and delivering social value projects, including career workshops, work experience, apprenticeships and employment programmes for local residents and students.

You will coordinate volunteer activities, manage community funds and report on contract commitments while supporting campaigns to boost wellbeing, recycling and resilience.

Qualifications

• Experience in project development and management to deliver objectives.
• Excellent data management and reporting capabilities.
• Experience working with agencies and external organisations on partnership projects.
• Experience delivering community engagement and behaviour change activities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including presentations.
• Budget management experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver social value projects with Local ECO Managers and Officers.
• Coordinate career workshops, work experience, apprenticeships and employment programmes.
• Research and coordinate volunteer activities for residents and support community funds.
• Manage and report on the social value function of contracts and lead project delivery.
• Support national and local campaigns to improve wellbeing, recycling and resilience.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and partners, coordinating teams to deliver work.
• Identify good news stories and feed to the External Engagement team.
• Maintain network across the UK ECO team and drive local improvements.
