Job summary

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community organisations and partners
  • Create and manage a comprehensive community contact database
  • Identify and develop opportunities for community activities within leisure centres
  • Liaise with centre staff to book and coordinate activities and sessions
  • Support organisations once activities are established
  • Assist with member sign‑ups and site tours where required
  • Identify and support applications for external grant funding
  • Contribute to and lead the BCLT Sport & Community Engagement Plan
  • Support centre staff with community‑related queries
  • Assist with advertising and promotion of activities
  • Ensure equality, diversity, safeguarding, and privacy needs are understood and met

Qualifications
  • A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • A team player who can build trust and positive relationships
  • Self‑motivated, organised, and able to manage multiple projects
  • Flexible and able to work under pressure
  • Confident using IT and Microsoft Office packages
  • Passionate about equality, diversity, and safeguarding, A community development qualification and/or relevant leisure/community experience
  • A full, current driving licence
  • Willingness to travel across Birmingham as required

Location: B73 6EB, must be willing to work between all our Birmingham leisure centres.

Hours: 40 hours per week between Monday to Friday + Occasional evenings / weekends when required. Salary: £26,280.07 per annum + Excellent benefits
