Job summary

Palladium is recruiting for a community-focused role based in Oxford or Didcot with travel across the local area. You will support individuals with barriers to employment, aiming to secure sustainable work through IPS and SEQF approaches, with local partnerships and community engagement.

The role includes delivering personalised support, building employer links, and providing ongoing in-work assistance, ensuring high-quality customer journeys and compliance.

Qualifications

• A passion for working with people and a solution focused approach.
• Experience working with people facing barriers to employment including health conditions and disabilities.
• Experience of providing one to one support and coaching with constructive challenge where needed.
• Proven experience in developing networks and building strong partnerships to support customers goals.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional evening and weekend activities.
• Strong organisational skills including managing caseloads.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, data protection and confidentiality requirements.
• Desirable: Driving licence and access to a car for community delivery.
• Desirable: Track record of helping individuals progress into work.
• Desirable: Understanding of IPS and supported employment programmes.
• Desirable: University degree or demonstrated target-driven performance in related roles.
• Desirable: Knowledge of local employment market.

Responsibilities

• Champion customers by promoting them to employers and raising awareness of available support.
• Create and follow through with individualised action plans with customers.
• Regularly check in with customers to track progress before and after employment.
• Advocate values of the programme, working with employers to present clients positively.
• Build employment opportunities through proactive engagement with employers.
• Facilitate work experiences such as placements, trials, and shadowing.
• Provide ongoing in-work support to customers who gain employment.
• Address personal constraints to employment with guidance to build confidence.
• Identify and recommend vacancy and training solutions with the team.
• Maintain customer records to quality standards per contractual requirements.
• Develop knowledge of local signposting services (disabilities, housing, benefits, etc.).
• Meet performance targets and quality/compliance measures.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Oxfordshire and partners for joined-up delivery.
