Job summary

The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council is seeking a motivated Employment Adviser to support residents into sustainable education, employment and training across the district. You will deliver person-centred employment support in community and school settings, building local labour-market knowledge and helping clients overcome barriers.

• Experience helping people into employment, education or training.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritise a varied caseload.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one employment support with personalised guidance and action planning.
• Help clients identify career goals and overcome barriers.
• Assist with CV writing, applications, interview prep and job-search activities.
• Undertake home visits as needed.
• Maintain accurate records in management information systems.
• Achieve KPIs in line with targets.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
• Promote equality, inclusion and safeguarding.
