Job summary

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking an administrative professional to support patient services within a busy NHS environment. The role involves handling enquiries, scheduling appointments, and performing standard administrative tasks with accuracy and discretion.

Essential criteria
  • Minimum of 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 4 (c)
  • GCSE in English at grade 4 (C)
  • GCSE in Maths at grade 4 (C)
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ level 2 in Business Admin
  • NVQ level 2 in Customer Service
Experience
Essential criteria
  • Experience of working within an Administrative setting
  • Experience of dealing with patients/clients/customers
  • Experience of Booking Appointments
  • Experience of working within a Call centre
  • Previous NHS Administrative Experience
Skills and Knowledge
Essential criteria
  • Evidence of Computer literacy with IT skills e.g. use of Microsoft programmes
  • Evidence of Proven Customer service skills
  • Understanding of NHS Rules and Guidelines (RTT, Access Policy, Cancer FDS Standards etc)
Desirable criteria
  • Understanding of NHS systems (Careflow/PAS, e-Referrals)
