Join Buckinghamshire Council as a Community Development Coordinator to support Thrive Families. You will enhance community engagement by working with volunteers and establishing community groups to promote active participation and support for children and families. This full-time role is vital to fostering relationships and advocating for those impacted by disadvantage.

We are currently recruiting for a Community Development Coordinator to join the Thrive team in Buckinghamshire.
Job Salary £27,981 - £31,916 per annum, dependent on experience
Contract Type Permanent
Hours Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Working alongside the Team Manager and Volunteer Supervisor, you will support with developing ways to enable Thrive Families to be actively involved in the shaping of the programme and explore ways to harness lived experience so it can be used effectively in Peer-to Peer support.
You will develop and maintain strong trusted relationships with volunteers, and work alongside the Volunteer Supervisor to recruit, train, supervise and support volunteers and peer mentors.
This is an exciting opportunity to build the Thrive community by championing parent participation and leadership.
You will have experience of working with volunteers, developing volunteering opportunities, and linking with community groups. Ideally you will have also been involved in setting up community groups.
You have an understanding of how people are impacted by disadvantage and poverty and will have enabled/signposted people to access additional services. In addition, you understand the importance of networking and making connections that supports the community.
Your values will align with ours and you will be passionate about ensuring that every child who is involved in this program has the love, support, and opportunities they need to thrive in their lives.
This role supports communities across Buckinghamshire so a driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
