About us

Whether it’s due to homelessness or poor mental health, the number of people experiencing a crisis is on the rise. Connection Support believes in a future where people are free from crisis. But for the times when crises do happen, we’ll be there to help every step of the way.

Does this sound like something you want to be a part of?

Working alongside the Team Manager and Volunteer Supervisor, you will support with developing ways to enable Thrive Families to be actively involved in the shaping of the programme and explore ways to harness lived experience so it can be used effectively in Peer-to Peer support.

You will develop and maintain strong trusted relationships with volunteers, and work alongside the Volunteer Supervisor to recruit, train, supervise and support volunteers and peer mentors.

This is an exciting opportunity to build the Thrive community by championing parent participation and leadership.

About you

You will have experience of working with volunteers, developing volunteering opportunities, and linking with community groups. Ideally you will have also been involved in setting up community groups.

You have an understanding of how people are impacted by disadvantage and poverty and will have enabled/signposted people to access additional services. In addition, you understand the importance of networking and making connections that supports the community.

Your values will align with ours and you will be passionate about ensuring that every child who is involved in this program has the love, support, and opportunities they need to thrive in their lives.
