Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers in Glasgow. You will deliver letters and parcels, cycle or walk your area as needed, and represent Royal Mail in the community with a strong emphasis on service and accuracy.

The role combines driving a Royal Mail van with on-foot delivery, requiring physical fitness and the ability to adapt to varying shift patterns.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day and lift a mailbag up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary and require adaptability at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels as part of your route.
• Drive a Royal Mail van and sometimes deliver on foot along your area.
• Handle election materials and other items per Royal Mail standards.
