Job summary

Melton Borough Council is seeking two Communications and Engagement Officers on fixed-term contracts to shape how we communicate with residents, partners and stakeholders. The role covers planning and delivering a wide range of campaigns, promoting services, supporting engagement activities and keeping communities informed.

You will develop social media campaigns, write news stories and create digital content, collaborating with colleagues while also working independently when needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication across multiple channels.
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to prioritise under pressure.
• High digital literacy and proficiency in Microsoft 365.
• Ability to create engaging content for social media, websites and internal comms.
