Job summary

Platform Property Care, part of Platform Housing Group, is seeking a Community Caretaker to service estates in Worcestershire. You will clean, maintain, and secure communal areas, log repairs via an iPad portal, and support safety checks as part of a mobile role across multiple sites.

The role runs 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00–15:30, with no weekend work. A valid driving licence and a basic DBS check are required. A company van is provided for daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Good IT skills; use of iPad to log repairs and health and safety checks.
• Full current valid driving licence; essential for mobile role.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day caretaking and cleaning to keep estates tidy and safe.
• Maintain hazard-free communal areas; handle leaf clearance, weed spraying, litter picking.
• Remove graffiti and perform minor repairs where possible; address fly tipping.
• Travel to sites across Worcestershire; use company van for daily tasks.

Job description

Platform Property Care are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our established Mobile Caretaking team as a Community Caretaker, delivering day to day caretaking service and cleaning of our estates, blocks and schemes in Worcestershire.

What could you be doing as our Community Caretaker?

You will carry out a range of activities to ensure our properties and the surrounding areas remain clean, tidy, safe, secure and in good condition. You will be helping to make our communal properties great places to live.

Day to day tasks will include keeping communal areas clean and hazard free, leaf clearance, weed spraying, litter picking, removing graffiti to maintenance and minor repairs and dealing with fly tipping.

This is a mobile role, covering our sites in Worcestershire so you would need to be based locally. There would also be a need to travel to our different sites throughout the area as required so a driving licence is essential. Access to a company van is provided so there is no need to use your own vehicle during the working day.

This is a full-time role working 35 hours a week Monday - Friday with core hours of 8:00 - 15:30 with no weekend working.
